Awards and Accolades of Civil Engineering Department

AY : 2025-26

Prof. Seema Basarikatti received Best Paper Award for the paper title *“Groundwater Quality Assessment for Gadag, Betagiri and Mundargi taluk and removal of fluoride content by herbal deflurodisation”* organized by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidyalaya & Indian National Chapter of International Association of Hydrogeologists (INC – IAH) on March 16 – 17th 2026 at katni Madhya Pradesh.

Prof. Seema Basarikatti attended the 52nd Congress of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH 2025) held in Melbourne, Australia, from 15–19 September 2025,

Prof. Seema R Basarikatti, Parashuram Dagindar, Santosh Kadlaskar and Huzaif Patil has participated and presented the following paper in the 4th Roorkee Water Conclave (RWC 2026), jointly organized by the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and National institute of Hydrology, Roorkee during February 23-25, 2026, at IIT Roorkee. 

Mrs. Seema Basarikatti on successfully completing the AICTE-Sponsored AICTE-QIP-PG Certificate Programme on “Intelligent Transport Systems for Electric Vehicles  from June 2025 to December 2025”.

Mrs. Vijaylaxmi Basanna Vyakaranahal, has successfully completed the AICTE QIP PG Certificate Programme in Cyber Physical Systems conducted from June 2025 to December 2025 at IIIT Dharwad.

Ms. Laxmi G Hattiholi, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, KLS Vishwanathrao Deshpande Institute of Technology, Haliyal, for successfully completing the AICTE QIP PG Certificate Programme in Cyber Security conducted during June 2025 to December 2025 at IIIT Dharwad

 

The Department of Civil Engineering was awarded by the Bureau of Indian Standards on World Standards Day 2025 for its active participation and valuable contribution to Standards Club activities

 

The Department of Civil Engineering was honored with the ‘Kannada Kanmani’ award on the eve of the 70th Kannada Rajyotsava


AY – 2024-25

Letter Of  Appreciation to Prof. Vijaylaxmi B V for spreading awareness and holding Software Training workshops at KLS VDIT, Haliyal, Karnataka, for the Academic Year 2024-25.

Prof. Rakesh Patil completed AICTE QIP program organized by IIIT, Dharwad on “Cyber Security” also received provision certificate on December 14th, 2024.

Dr. Ashik Bellary completed the AICTE–QIP PG Certificate Programme in “Machine Learning” organized by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, and received the certificate for the programme conducted from July 01 to December 24, 2024.

Mr. Harshavardhan V S completed the AICTE–QIP PG Certificate Programme in “Cyber Security” organized by the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Dharwad, and received the certificate for the programme conducted from July to December 2024
