The Karnataka Council for Technical Upgradation (KCTU) is a Joint Venture of Government of India and Government of Karnataka A Premier Council for Implementation of Schemes under Karnataka new Industrial policy 2014-19. It supports the new and existing R & D centers (public / private) to boost sustainable growth of manufacturing sector by way of partial investment in new / additional infrastructural facility including capital goods viz. 3 D printing facilities etc. The strengthening of R & D center shall facilitate innovative ideas, technology, and products to boost the manufacturing sector.
Seventh Level Committee of Karnataka Council for Technological Upgradation (KCTU) Government of Karnataka, sanctioned financial assistance of Rs. 22.78 lakhs for setting up of “Welding Research Center” in Mechanical Engineering Department of KLS VDRIT. The total project cost is Rs.45.55 lakhs.
