The NSS’s motto, “Not Me But You,” captures the spirit of democratic behaviour and upholds the necessity of selfless service. The NSS fosters in students a growth in understanding other people’s perspectives and a respect for other living things. The NSS’s guiding concept is encapsulated in this phrase, which emphasises the idea that each person’s well-being ultimately depends on the welfare of society as a whole. As a result, NSS volunteers are expected to work towards the advancement of society.
